GWO Training

The international non-profit body for the wind turbine manufacturers industry, the Global Wind Organisation (GWO), strives to create an injury-free working environment, for the benefit of all.

At Skylar Safety, we believe that workplace safety should be the highest priority for any business or trade. As a result, we provide effective, relevant GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) and Basic Safety Training - Refresher (BSTR) for professionals working in the wind industry. The BST and BSTR we offer include the following modules:

First Aid Module (FA)
Manual Handling Module (MH)
Fire Awareness Module (FAW)
Working at Heights Module (WAH)

The GWO training and refresher course training conducted by Skylar Safety have been mapped the the following Nationally Accredited units of Competency, which participants receive at the successful completion of the training:

HLTAID009 - Provide CPR
HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid
UETTDRRF06 - Perform rescue from a live LV panel
RIIWHS204E - Work Safely at Heights
UETTDRRF04 - Perform tower rescue or
PUASAR022 Participate in Rescue Operations
HLTWHS005 - Conduct manual tasks safely

GWO training is available at our purpose-designed training facilities in Melbourne, Sydney (Newcastle), Port Augusta (SA) and Vietnam or at your chosen site.
