5 Days - 40 Hours
Fire Awareness – 0.5 Day (4 Hours)
Manual Handling – 0.5 Day (4 Hours)
Working at Heights – 2 Days (16 Hours)
First Aid – 2 Days (16 Hour)

COURSE DESCRIPTION

GWO Basic Safety Training is designed to provide personnel with the basic skills to understand current legislative requirement and standards for work in wind turbines as well as the importance of a good safety plan, risk assessment and rescue plan. Which will assist ensuring that they a safe manner in the wind industry and to meet training requirements for personnel new to the global wind industry.

The participant must be able to perform a rescue and evacuation safely from a height.  As well as carry out first aid, gain knowledge about fire safety and work ergonomically in a wind power environment.

  • Students must attend the course with long pants and safety boots. 
  • Site training must abide by site specific PPE requirement
