Rescue Training

Members of the emergency response team or employees expected to conduct rescue/ emergency response as part of their role in their respective workplace should be formally trained and understand the site’s/ company's emergency response plan and the emergency management system, as well as their own roles and responsibilities.

Emergency responders should be trained and assessed as competent in:

Basic safety awareness
Extricating techniques and first aid
The use and maintenance of specific rescue equipment
Rescue procedures and protocols
How to deal with site-specific hazards.

Tower Rescue Training is an essential safety precaution within the telecommunications and electrical industry. This course is designed for personnel who are required to conduct a range of vertical rescue tasks: preparing and responding to rescue situations, assessing rescue scenes, establishing vertical rescue systems and performing in and terminating rescues.

This course is aimed at those who are required to undertake rescue operations in confined spaces, as defined in AS 2865-2009 Confined spaces. This course covers a range of confined space rescue situations being carried out as a member of an emergency response team.
